Receptionist

Job Description

THE ROLE: As a Receptionist you will be expected to operate the main company switchboard as well as meeting and greeting all visitors into the branch.

DUTIES: Will include but is not limited to:

  • Operate the main switchboard
  • Greet and sign in all visitors
  • Maintain stationary stock levels
  • Negotiate with stationary supplies for the best prices
  • Assist the person responsible for the procurement of all non-sellable items
  • Update company phone list and directories
  • Arrange the maintenance and repair of photocopiers
  • Sort out all branch internal post for credit control i.e. customer delivery notes and drivers logs
  • Assist accounts as and when required
  • Assist with the admin for accreditation of chain of custody and ISO 9001

CANDIDATE: We are looking for a well presented individual who is enthusiastic and a good team player. You must have experience of working on a busy switchboard and have strong communication skills, with an attention to detail. You should be self motivated, with the ability to solve problems and have a can do attitude.

THE PACKAGE: Salary is 15K to 20K per annum dependent on experience, other benefits include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual PRP Bonus, option to buy or sell holidays and life assurance among others. The normal working week will be Monday to Friday.

Transport Supervisor/Goods In Administrator

Job Description

THE ROLE: As Transport Supervisor you will plan the next day deliveries of customer orders via LGV vehicles in a designated delivery area, clarify delivery addresses and timed drops with the sales team as well as liase with the Company Transport Manager to arrange the servicing and repair of vehicles.

As Goods in you will book goods received onto the computer system, liaise with suppliers and the purchasing department regarding shortages, damages or returned goods. Create customer invoices from the delivery notes, amend shortages on delivery notes and work alongside the Stock Controller regarding adjustments and stock rotation.

CANDIDATE: The successful candidate should have proven experience of working in similar roles along with knowledge of the local area and transport legislation. The ability to plan, organise and problem solve is essential as well as having a can do attitude.

Experience within a builders merchant and good product knowledge on a range of building materials would be an advantage.

THE PACKAGE: We offer a salary of £24,500 to £27,000 depending on experience and benefits which include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual PRP Bonus, option to buy or sell holidays and life assurance among others.

The normal working week will be Monday to Friday.

Trainee Assistant Buyer

Job Description

THE ROLE: As a Trainee Buyer you would assist the purchasing team and complete administration duties. You will also learn all aspects of working within a busy purchasing department such as how to identify and replenish low levels of stock and how to liaise with suppliers and other internal departments regarding discrepancies and queries.

CANDIDATE: We are looking for a smart, presentable individual who is enthusiastic to learn and develop their knowledge and skills. You must have excellent communication skills, good knowledge of Microsoft word and excel and the ability to be organised. We have a proven track record of developing Trainees into more Senior Roles so this is an excellent opportunity for someone who shows aptitude and commitment to the company.

Salary will be up to £18,500 and benefits include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual PRP Bonus, option to buy or sell holidays and life assurance among others. The normal working week will be Monday to Friday.
