We were delighted once again to be able to give something back to our local community and to make a difference to, in this case, the 7th Darlington Sea Scouts. Their cabin which is used for the beavers and cubs was in need of a huge overhaul, with rotten wood appearing, it was time for a change and to do something about it. We were able to donate 30 sheets of plywood to help them rebuild their cabin.
'Thank you to James Burrell Builders Merchant for a donation of 30 sheets of plywood for the cabin! They arranged delivery also. We can't thank them enough as this allowed us to get the crucial work carried out at the Cabin. The Beavers and Cubs went out for the day while workers got to work stripping the rotten wood and replacing the ply and then putting on the half rounds. There is still a lot of work to do and we hope to have this completed by mid January ready for the camping season.'
Check back in January when we will hopefully have an update for you and pictures of the reveal of the new Cabin and all the hard work that will have been put into it.
