James Burrell proves their commitment to industry standards

We have proved our committment to exceeding the industry standard, by achieving bronze accreditation in the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS). FORS is a voluntary scheme which aims to raise the level of quality, safety and environmental protection within fleet operations.

We currently have a fleet of 33 vehicles which operate across the North East and Yorkshire including crane off-loading vehicles, sprinter vans and flatbed vehicles delivering around 1,000 tonnes of building materials per day.

Transport Manager, Paul Butler said: "We are absolutley delighted to have been accredited bronze status by FORS. All of our branches all underwent a rigorous audit and assessment procedure, carried out by a FORS auditor, to secure the prestigious status.

Safety, efficiency and environmental protection are a top priority here at James Burrell and this announcement is a testament to the team and our dedication in providing not only the highest quality products and customer service, but exemplary levels of road safety.

We plan to continue our accreditation journey with FORS to ensure that we are always providing the highest level of service to our customers and community."

The majority of our fleet are now at the maximum Euro 6 rating with 8 at the next best Euro 5 rating. By the end of 2019, it is anticipated that all James Burrell vehicles will meet Euro 6 standard.
