National Apprenticeship Week 2021

This week marks National Apprenticeship Week 2021. A week to celebrate the positive impact that apprentices have in the workplace.

Here at James Burrell, we have always held the value of an apprentice extremely highly. The opportunity to allow someone to begin their career, to develop and create such a positive impact on the company where they have learnt their craft. This is one of the reasons why we invest in our apprenticeship programmes year on year, enabling us to continue to look towards the future of our workforce.

We're pleased to be able to say that 15% of our current workforce across our 10 branches currently are, or have been apprentices or trainees. Out of those who began their career as an apprentice, 3 of those have gone on to continue their career development and are now in senior roles across the company. A great outlook for those beginning their apprenticeship training.

Looking at the present, not only do we have 3 apprentices working in different areas across the company, but we also have 4 other members of staff who are improving their knowledge by doing some apprenticeship training.
