A huge congratulations to a team from our James Burrell branches who completed an 11 mile East Durham coastal walk in order to raise funds for NEHWG.
NEHWG are a charity based in the North East who place life saving defibrillators into public places such as schools, colleges and sports clubs. These vital pieces of equipment have helped to save many people's lives and without the support to the charity, these circumstances could be very different.
The team took on the elements on the 5th October as they walked along the coastal route. The goal was to raise a total of £1300 which is the cost of one community access defibrillator, something that NEHWG could place in a community that was in need and to help to continue to save lives. We are delighted to say that we managed to raise even more than our hoped for target, which means that extra money can be contributed to other areas NEHWG help with.
