Our work with the RCM Wellness Project

We recently supplied materials to the RCM Wellness Centre in Ossett to enable them to complete their transformation into the centre they have today.

The centre is somewhere that focuses on their clients mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. They have a dedictaed multi disciplinary team who are all highly qualified with Oncology specialisms. This is a huge asset to the local community and one which will make a huge difference to those in need.

Emma Kirke is the Director of the centre and you can read below a little bit more information about her journey to create the centre, as well as the work that we have helped them with.

"My dream is becoming reality with the generosity of local businesses. Having suffered permanent spine and nerve dammage plus breast cancer, I envisaged a centre of multidiscipline practitioners that could specialise in their own fields but work as a team to treat each individual in their entirety. The vision began to metamorphoses into reality at the beginning of this year 2020.

From the ashes of trauma has arisen a thing of beauty, we have a beautifucl clinic and wellness centre providing over 120 services with currently 10 therapists utilising multiple skills but more specifically the desire to care and improve the quality of life from birth to old age, sports to life, physical to mental wellbeing and many of our therapists are qualified to treat anyone along the oncology pathway.

As we move forward this will be of such great importance in the West Yorkshire area and beyond. We are already experiencing high levels of demand for these services as there are so many restrictions usually and this unique centre will continue to grow and support those in need and importantly those on the oncology pathway.

We have amazing support from our current service users who will regularly donate a few extra pounds per visit to help someone to have the treatments that they need if they are financially disabled.

Without the assistance of such amazing local businesses such as James Burrell, we would not have been able to complete this project and provide such invaluable services for the local area. I am a great believer in keeping it local and the Ossett branch are a fine example of why it is important to recognise their input. We will be forever in their debt."

It's fantastic to learn about projects that we have supplied materials for, even more so when they are complementing the local community. Check out the gallery below for some updated pictures throughout the building renovation process. We look forward to seeing the great work they will continue to do.
