We've got another great addition to the company as Stephen Bradbury joins us as Assistant Buyer in our Purchasing Team.
What is your job role?
I’m happy to be joining the Purchasing Team as an Assistant Buyer.
What does a normal day in the role involve?
A normal day for me involves running sales and stock level reports, making purchase orders of stocks which are running below minimum stock levels, liaising with haulage companies for deliveries and answering email queries internally and externally.
A bit of an insight on your career so far, have you worked in construction before? If not, what did you do prior to joining James Burrell.
Previous to working for James Burrell, I spent 12 years working for Newcastle United Football Club. I worked in various departments and had multiple job roles over a 12-year period.
I have worked in an office-based environment but this is the first time I’ve worked in the construction industry.
What is your favourite thing about the company so far?
My favourite part of the company has to be how very well organised it is. There is a high standard across the board and you are constantly busy to keep this standard to the highest level.
My colleagues are fantastic too, I have had a lot to learn in a very short space of time but my colleagues have rallied around me to give me the best support they can.
What does your perfect weekend look like?
On a weekend I like to get out and about, spending time with my partner and catching up with family and friends. We always have something planned to fill our time and keep us busy.
