Apprentices

HGV Class 2 Driver, Ossett
Job Description
Join James Burrell as a HGV Driver in Ossett, where you will contribute towards the timely, accurate and safe delivery of building materials. This role is more than just driving, you will be the friendly face of James Burrell, representing the company professionally at our customer sites and providing a helpful service that our customers remember.
HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C)
Location: Ossett, WF5 9JE
Salary: Competitive
THE ROLE: You will be required to ensure that materials are delivered promptly and accurately to our customer locations. You will assist in unloading the vehicle at the delivery location with the remotely operated hiab crane and providing an excellent customer service.
CANDIDATE: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking person, who is confident driving a Class 2 vehicle and has good knowledge of Ossett and the surrounding areas. Having a good product knowledge on a range of building materials would be an advantage to this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must have a HGV Class 2 licence (Category C), digital tachograph, Driver CPC. A current HIAB licence would be an advantage.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits which include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, annual PRP Bonus, option to buy or sell holidays and life assurance among others.
The working week will be dayshift, Monday to Friday.
THE COMPANY: James Burrell Ltd is an independent builders merchant which was established in 1877. We have 9 branches servicing our trading area of Northumberland down to South Yorkshire. We are a leading distributor of building materials, civils products, insulation and timber.
As an independent builders merchants, we are a family run company with a culture which is friendly and team orientated. You would be joining a team where the majority of people have long term service many of who have joined at more junior positions and have developed a long-term career with us.
